. . . missed a day.

Of course, that wouldn't have been a tragedy--like most days, it was IU.

I had some things I needed at the store, but since WalMart was the LAST place any sane person would want to be the day after Thanksgiving, I went to the little Sav-a Lot for the foodstuffs.

They don't carry big brands and their prices are a bit higher, but their produce is generally excellent and they even have a motorized cart! And a very pleasant staff.

So I think I'm stocked up enough for several days. I'll do a WalMart run when school is in session and most people are back at work.

My giant boy cat definitely is familiar with the Cat Rule Book, which says cuddle up to nice warm humans when it gets cold and/or wet outside. He also has the "adoring look" down pretty well.

I think this rather icky weather is going to continue for (at least) a day or so more. That's okay with me--it's a good excuse to stay inside with the cats and read. (And maybe look at the "ought to" list.)

This weekend there's a local big college football game on tap--the Bayou Classic, which pits Grambling against Southern. (Those are the two top HBCUs in the state.) It gets a big crowd.

Tomorrow I'll see if I can get the ladder positioned so that I can change out the dead floodlights. I'd really like to be able to see out on the patio when I want to at night.

And, another IUD is about over.
