Let There Be Light

My lovely neighbors came over, set up the ladder, and changed out the spotlight bulbs that focus on the patio area.

Once again I can see what is out there after the sun goes down.

In order to have those new lights, I had to make an early run to WalMart for a second bulb. (I had only one sitting around.)

WalMart opens at 8 AM. I was there before 9, and it was already getting a bit crowded. There were no motorized carts available, but that was okay--I didn't have that much I needed.

By the time I left the parking lot was about 3/4 full. I had found a spot fairly close to the entrance, and so when a car spotted me loading up my purchases, the driver decided to be super courteous and waited for me to exit--basically blocking traffic as I backed out of the space.

His reward was a nice close parking space.

It's about three weeks till the big day--I don't even want to think about the crowds in the coming weeks. Part of my solution will be to go early, on weekdays. And to store critter food in my car so I don't have to be going for that as frequently.

I spent the afternoon watching football. The Saints squeezed another one out. Then Atlanta did the same. Atlanta is ahead of the Saints in our division. Next week is a home game against the Rams. I plan to go to that one.

Other plans? Well, I had sort of "planned" to go in to work tomorrow, but I may put that off a day and try to catch up a bit on household stuff. And yard stuff.

And get gas. If I go in to work tomorrow I have to stop on the way in to refill my gas tank. That adds about ten minutes to my commute time.

So much little stuff to consider.

Enough for tonight.
