No, I have no problems with paying attention. Today (for me) it stands for Another Dull Day. Or, if you prefer, an IUD.

A bit before 4 PM I headed for Arby's for lupper and some reading.

My current book is Diane Mott Davidson's Fatally Flaky. She's written more than a dozen, all with a culinary theme. The protagonist is a chef who was once married to someone she refers to as The Jerk.

Her current husband(?) is a cop--which comes in handy with a slimeball ex-husband still in the area.

She does a lot of talking about food--especially gourmet food.

I'll probably finish it this evening. Such TV as might be on can form a backdrop of human voices while I read.

I still haven't figured out who is getting a present and, if so, what.

Oh well--I have a week to go on that one.

I stopped at Walgreen's on my way home and got chatting a bit with a young woman who was also an only child--and who now has three kids. We sympathized with each other about having no personal experience with sibling rivalries etc.
