The female Mighty Hunter seemed to be "interested" in something small and brown that was scurrying toward the door--which was closed.

The male Mighty Hunter looked down with a modicum of interest from his perch on top of the TV.

The human looked over from the couch and verbally encouraged the felines to Do Something.

But this was a very small mouse and it could squeeze under the the doorsill. (This door is on a fold-down wall, so there's a gap under the door frame.)

So the human went over, opened the door, and tried to persuade the mouse to go outside where it had a better chance of leaving a cat without a midnight snack.

The cats were no help--guess they weren't hungry.

I think I got the mouse out of the house.

If not, at some point it will either die of starvation, find its way out via the front porch, or eventually provide a snack for an enterprising cat.
