No form of frozen stuff fell in my area, but the rain has been pretty steady. Definitely a gloomy day.

I had a minor errand to run, and on the way back I used one of the Church's (fried chicken) coupons that came in the mail a day or so ago. Four legs and thighs for $2.99. Not bad. That's a two day supply for me.

Tomorrow should be better weatherwise--the online forecast has a smiling sun for the next four days. I didn't bother checking the temperature guess--it's what is or isn't coming out of the sky that really counts.

I had the TV on most of the time I was at home, and I don't recall hearing any announcements in the background that the world was ending or anything similar.

I haven't decided for whom to root in the Superbowl. Probably I'll go with the NFC champ, since that's the Saints' conference.

Relaxation reading: I'm catching up (sort of) on Analog magazines that have been piling up. When a new issue arrives, I generally read the editorial, and then the science fact piece. The rest of it makes good short-term reading.

With the cold and the wetness, the cats have become even more "domestic." At least they're going out for the bathroom, or maybe my failure to clean the box each time it is used discourages them.

The possum/raccoon/cat chow is out in the dishes on the front porch. I'll wait till it's dark to toss out the biscuits.

Weather permitting, I should be back to work next week.
