Today was spent doing all sorts of little stuff--the kinds of things you notice only when they aren't done.

This includes activities like a grand sweep of the trash baskets (remember, I'm the only human in the household, so they don't fill up very quickly) and general tidying--or putting stuff in neat piles.

Ran the carpet sweeper over the visible and accessible parts of carpet.

Oh yeah--and allowed myself a lovely sinking spell after a quick lunch.

Then I took myself out to WalMart for the inevitable critter essentials, plus some stuff I needed.

Oh yes--today's "biggie"--I took a big stack of old newspapers out back and put them into the pool. There they will slowly dissolve.

My neighbor's dogs barked fiercely because I was out there. They keep track of unusual activities in my yard as well as theirs. It's easy to sound ferocious when you're are protected by a fence.

Okay--I can mark down today as somewhat productive.

I'm planning to go in to work tomorrow, so I can't stay up too late tonight.

I think Spots likes the roof of the Escape because it's warm from the sun, and he has a great view. I suspect the warmth of metal in the sun is the main attraction during what passes for winter here.

And so another day has almost passed--and I'm planning an evening of reading while the TV is broadcasting some drivel reruns.

Cross fingers that tomorrow at least stays dry.
