An IUD, but restful.

And I added to that rest a bit before lunch time, thus giving me the energy for a WalMart run in the afternoon.

It's now dark, and it's still an IUD.

All the asorted critters have been fed and I can look forward to an uneventful evening watching TV/reading.

This is the weekend when the parade schedule really gets ramped up--this weekend there are at least three on the Northshore, and a lot more in New Orleans and on the West Bank--not to mention Metairie etc.

It's too much standing for me, and besides--parades are a lot more fun if you're part of a group--even a group of two.

So I shall watch them from the comfort of my couch, probably with a cat in attendance, and with food and drink that costs a lot less than that from street vendors.

But I must not forget their presence, and plan errands around their various times and locations.

Weather couldn't be better at the moment--warm and dry.

Oh yes--one interesting item--a bunch of out-of-town (Atlanta) Girl Scouts got busted for selling cookies on the public streets without a permit. I don't know if local scouts are allowed to peddle them on the streets. That does involve certain safety issues.

I'll try to find out the outcome and pass it along.

Never a dull momment.
