The prospect of a "discussion" sure gets the adrenalin going!

This afternoon I got an e-mail from the librarian at Newcomb, alerting me to a change in parking policies.

Currently: regular parking passes (which have a significant fee) to Newcomb "family" (faculty, staff, and students) only.

Thus, I have been using a one-day parking pass to be within what little walking distance I can handle. Newcomb provides me with the passes, and I make regular donations to reimburse.

Now, some people are complaining that they are seeing the same car(s) with visitor passes there just about every day.

So--people using these passes now must use the garage--which is probably half a mile or so from where I work. (I'm not sure of its exact location.)

That would be fine, except that one time when I parked off-campus (where I had parked when I was a student there in the 90s) I thought I was going to pass out or something before I got to my car.

The librarian doesn't know if there will be any kind of transport from the garage to wherever on the campus. (Tulane has about 25,000 students, so it's a good-sized campus.)

I think the librarian and I are up to four e-mails each. She's trying to find out if there will be a way for someone with limited walking distance to get from the parking garage to wherever she works.

Tomorrow (or maybe this evening) I will be asking those questions of the Tulane president. Of course, there will be a subtle reminder about handicapped accessibility.

As I said to the librarian--don't mess with old ladies--our hormone balance is close to that of a male.

Anyway--today has been anything BUT an IUD.

And YD managed to find the stuff that had gone into hiding.

Definitely NOT an unremarkable day.

(I wonder if I'll stay awake later than usual--my adrenaline is pumping like mad.)
