Yes--another IUD. I surely do miss (already) the days I spent at Newcomb, working with archival materials.

Because of my limited walking ability (and possession of a permanent handicap tag) the people at Newcomb gave me a visitor parking pass, so I could park within a reasonable walking distance of the building. And I make regular donations to Newcomb to reimburse them.

Well--it seems somebody (or somebodies) got their nose(s) out of joint about a "visitor" parking close to the building. (They probably didn't notice the handicapped tag--or maybe they got their noses out of joint because I have a University of New Orleans license plate on my car.)

So--an edict came down--visitor passes would be honored ONLY in a parking garage on the other side of the campus. I have yet to find out how to get from there to the building where I (used to) work, other than walking. The executive director of Newcomb Institute is NOT HAPPY.

I am biding my time--and going nuts from boredom at home.

And the collection I was working on sits and waits for heaven only knows what

Do you get the sense that I am frustrated and bored to tears? The Newcomb Institute Executive Director asked me to bide my time--she is working on it. I hope she has some luck--soon. If I could be sure there was a shuttle from the garage to various campus locations, I'd go in.

Maybe I should go in anyway--and pass out from the heat on my hike from the garage to the building.

(I am NOT in a good mood--can you tell?)

But let me try to think of something good. My cats continue to be loving and affectionate. Spots really likes to cuddle up close at night--fortunately, he does not do this on hot nights. CC is also affectionate, even if she isn't quite as cuddly. They both get along with the possums and raccoons whom they have invited for supper.

Good heavens--I just looked at the calendar and this Sunday is Easter. I'll bet that's slowing down things at Tulane/Newcomb.

At least the weather is (currently) nice.
