A very pleasant day today--balmy temperatures and (so far) no precipitation.

I did a bunch of little stuff, but that was about it.

At supper I called the cats and CC came in and dug right into her food. The guy, however, decided to be picky. He got as far as the porch, then noticed that I had the raccoon/possum chow next to me. I told him several times that the good food was waiting for him on the kitchen counter, and I would NOT sympathize if the girl cat ate both dishes.

Meanwhile, the raccoon was getting anxious about food.

I managed to get Stupid inside, and quickly served up the dry food. Raccoon was very grateful. I got a dish of the food right inside the critter hole and the critter came in as soon as I was three feet away.

When I finish at the computer I'll toss critter cookies onto the patio. Those are too big for the cats, although they can usually find some treats among the broken pieces.

Basically, today was an IUD--but a very relaxing one.

Unless it's raining, I'll be going in to work tomorrow.

It will be interesting to see if the campus cops have "gotten" the message.

AND - - - the ultimate in I don't know what. Academy Sporting Goods here in Slidell has a big ad featuring Mother's Day gift possibilities.

Among them--a 9mm pistol. Pink. There's also a pink taser available.

If you were a potential perpetrator, would you be scared off by a cute pink 9 mm pistol?

On the other hand, said perp might be laughing too hard to be a threat.

The pistol goes for $379.99, has a capacity of 12 + 1, and has double/single action.

From what little I know about pistols, that sounds like it should be taken seriously. But pink?
