Today was, generally speaking, a good day.

I went in to work and got a lot accomplished.

So far, I haven't been hassled about parking fairly close by my building. Having the director of the Newcomb Institute go to bat about parking realities seems to have worked.

And I just finished answering an e-mail (from the Newcomb Center) with in-case-of-hurricane personal information. That gives me a feeling of "belonging."

I have an appointment in New Orleans on Friday, so I started hunting for its location. I may have found it--I'll check it out again the next time I go in. That may be tomorrow, or Wednesday, or Thursday.

I think the amount of Yankee water racing southward to the sea has slowed down a bit. People in areas that are likely to get flooded from the various spillway openings are busy putting levees around their houses wherever possible. I think the news said the potential threat to New Orleans has been somewhat alleviated.

I was feeding the cats when that news bit came over. I'll see what they say on the 10 PM news. (The newscasters--not the cats.)

So--another IUD--except for the hurricane info request.
