I supposedly had an eye doctor appointment this morning, but when I got there only his secretary was present--he wasn't going to be in.

I have no idea why the appointment got scheduled in the first place--or why there was no notification of cancellation.

I did not attempt to reschedule. I haven't decided whether I will.

It was a borderline hot day today--I will be so glad to get back to work next week. I will be around people and it will be pleasant inside.

My house has such good circulation--not to mention tall trees--that it is not unpleasant (most of the time) during the summer. And my electric bill is probably at least $50 or so a month less.

And if the weather is really really disgustingly hot I have a room that does have AC.

Anyway--a relatively boring day.

When I picked up my mail I noticed that the mowers had trimmed ALL 0f the dirt away from the edge of the pavement. The pavement drops off extremely sharply into the ditch.

I called the maintenance barn and chatted with the guy there. I've talked with him before and he knows I don't rant and fuss. Based on occassional previous problems, I figure this will be more or less remedied within a few weeks. This is a situation that will upset the postal delivery people as they try to get close enough to get the mail into the box without sliding into the ditch.

So, today has been pretty much a nothing day. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
