My Grand Plan was to start typing up the inventories for the three cartons of stuff I've been working on for the past two or three weeks.

Oh well--I think tomorrow has a fairly high rain chance, so I'll stay home again and do it tomorrow.

I didn't get much of anything done today that might be considered productive.

I had several long conversations with cats--and punctuated the conversations with petting.

I remembered to get my trash out to the street. I usually put it out on Tuesday, but my trash man also collects on Fridays (and I think I'm paying for twice a week). If the trash can is out near the street, he stops to check it. Once it has been emptied, I move the trash barrel a ways back from the street, and when I bring a freshly filled one down to the street, I take the empty back near the house. He knows the "code."

He's been picking up for us since just after we moved back here in 1976. Most of his customers stayed with him after the big "professional" service appeared.

Before that we'd take our bagged trash out to the dump, where there were frequently long lines.

A rumble of thunder suggests that we'll be having some evening showers. That will cool things down a bit, although it hasn't been really hot.

Good thing I've got all those inventories to type up. I'm trying to put in two or three days of work each week. The work is there, and I enjoy it. And it is very much appreciated.

It's getting a bit dark now--time to settle in for the evening.
