On the plus side: rain means cooler temperatures.

On the minus side: rain makes for slippery sidewalks which can mess up cane functions.

I'll forgive the latter for the former. The online weather forecast for the coming week has wetness--but high temperatures only in the mid to upper eighties.

This past week it's been in the nineties just about every day.

The cats are happily at home and indoors, but I've seen no sign of the masked ones. Yet. Maybe they'll come by for supper/snacks when it is definitely not raining.

Made it to church this morning, but there was a really small crowd. People are probably on vacation.

Next week (at church) it will be really enjoyable, before and after. Each year the church hosts an art exhibit/contest, and the walls will be covered by the art. It's called "Hot Art in a Cool Place" and gets a lot of artists--and potential buyers. The church doesn't sponsor it--just provides the "gallery."

Had a nice long chat with my neighbor earlier this evening. I'd left a couple of messages about having a copy of a book (YD's latest) for her. But she has been away.

At the moment I am between books. I'll remedy that this evening. I have a fairly high stack of to-be-reads that really needs to be "attacked."

I guess the world is still holding itself together--surely if it was ending there'd be a bulletin interrupting the TV.

I think today counts as yet another IUD.
