Most of today was spent at home, in the house.

I did have a satisfactory afternoon nap, and I got some more reading done in the current mind candy book. Can't recall the title, but it's the series with Eve Dallas as the female cop heroine. She's married to a fabulously wealthy man. "Death" is always part of the title.

I shall probably try to finish it this evening.

Tonight should be good sleeping weather--it's raining, and that will really cool things down.

The trick, of course, is to cool things down, but not raise the humidity to uncomfortable levels.

I had sort of hoped to go in to work tomorrow, but it looks like rain will interfere with that.

Other than retrieving the mail and paper, my "outing" of the day was a quick trip to WalMart for cat treats. And some other stuff.

I managed to do that between showers.

Next week I have a dr. appointment with an orthopedist in New Orleans for a "second opinion" regarding my hip. I'm hoping he has something encouraging to say, other than "here's a prescription renewal for vicodin and see me again in six months."

Today's weather was more or less pleasant when it wasn't raining. The temperature was not oppressive.

The hurricane currently in the Gulf is aiming for Texas. Sorry about that Texas, but better you than Louisiana. We have barely finished with a very swollen Mississippi.

And, now it's time to settle down for the evening TV dxrivel. It will make a bit of a background for reading.
