Temperatures in the 90s are not all that regular a thing here. Humidity in the 90s--yes.

But if temps in the 90s have kept that low pressure system known as Hurricane (can't remember the name) off to the east--I figure that's a fair exchange.

Weather today was somewhat on the gray side--but still almost as hot as the last few. Who knows what tomorrow will be like. I'll set the alarm in case it's nice enough to go in to work, but I'll be ready to go back to sleep if it isn't.

And the pollution police are coming down hard on the polluting paper mill. It cost a LOT to get all the dead fish cleaned up, and that doesn't count associated costs like loss of income etc. that will probably show up soon in lawsuits.

Another IUD around here. I did little stuff around the house, and read. The cats spent most of the day outside, "guarding" the property. I don't know what they are guarding it from--certainly NOT other critters their size who wear masks, or have hairless tails and are marsupials.

When it comes to guarding against elephants, however, they are superb! Haven't had any come remotely near the place.

And I have to admit that rodents are almost non-existent. It's a long time since I've seen one--dead or alive.

Come to think of it--today has been a hermit day--haven't spoken to any humans.

Well, the written word will have to suffice.
