Yes, I got my body awake and functioning in time to get to work before the few sort-of close parking spots were taken.

And I got a fair amount accomplished. I think it will be only one more day of processing the materials before they are in acid-free folders and arranged in some sort of order.

Then I'll type up the inventories at home.

The archivist was back from sabbatical, and looking rested etc. As I left I told her the identificaion numbers I needed. When I go in again (tomorrow or Thursday) I can get the folders labelled and all that good stuff. With luck, I should be done with this set of stuff by the end of the week. (I type up the inventories at home on the computer with which I am familiar. Tulane has Apples.)

And I am quite sure that there will be another collection to take care of.

I think today was a first, with respect to the drive in. I encountered NO slowdowns at all. Usually as I get near the CBD (central business district) there is at least one. But not today. And my drive home was also without slowdowns in the vicinity of the High Rise (really high, extended overpass on the east side of the CBD.)

Where have all the people gone?

I shall think back to today's drive the next time I go into N.O.
