Not much.

I got some errands done this morning, then after an Arby's supper I stopped at a recently reopened gas station for what else.

But, we could not come to an agreement about my credit card. I don't think there actually was a problem, unless you count having the setting sun blasting in your eyes while you try to figure out just what info they really want re: your credit card.

I gave it up and went to another station--one which had a N/S orientation rather than an E/W at the pumps.

My car is now ready to head into N.O. tomorrow morning and not starve to death in the middle of heavy commuter traffic.

This morning I went to the water company to inquire about a notice they sent me threatening to cut off my water for non-payment.

A couple of clicks on the computer and I didn't have the check itself, but I had proof I'd sent it.

They agreed and everything is now fine.

When you walk in and hand them copies of your check register--and you have a good prompt payment record that goes back to 1976--they quickly agree with you and say sorry about that, and everything is fine.

According to the bank they had not cashed the check, but we're long-time customers and the sight of it in my check register was good enough.

They did sugest I go to the bank and try to have them track the "missing" check. I was going to do that, but there wasn't really time for that this morning. And, I prefer not to do inside bank business when I am attired in classic household-grubby.

So--the morning was taken up with "dumb stuff."

After lunch and a brief sinking spell I headed out for supper and feeding my car. It has this silly craving for dead dinosaurs. It won't take me anywhere unless it's full of those guys.

Tomorrow is a definite N.O. day--I like what I do at Newcomb, and it gets me around people.

(Note to self: take trash barrel up to front either tonight or before I leave in the morning. It's just about full and won't take me long at all to get it all tied up properly.)

Time to settle down for the evening--another IUD almost gone.
