. . . is one non-stop bit of excitement after another!

Of course, your definition of excitement and mine may be 180 degrees apart, but so what.

Today was an at-home day for me.

Weather was pleasant--no sweating, and I expect the furnace to kick on soon for the evening and night.

Household accomplishments? Huh?

Well, I did get a bit of mid-week grocery replenishment taken care of.

This time I went to the Winn Dixie on the south side of town.

I'd been there only once before, and today I took the time to really explore it.

I was very impressed. It's got -plenty of space so you don't get "trapped" in an aisle by slow (or undecided) shoppers.

It has REALLY nice motorized carts.

And it has very friendly, helpful staff.

One guy was telling me about how they set up the store arrangement to make it convenient for the shoppers--and also potentially lucrative (via impulse buying) for the store. And they have a lot of cold stuff near the checkout, so it doesn't have to be in the basket too long.

Best of all--they have smoothly-working motorized carts for those who need them.

There wasn't that much that I wanted/needed, but I found everything and left the store satisfied.

AND--as I headed for my car a (lowly) staff member followed me, helped me unload the cart, then drove it back into the store.

Did I mention that their prices are higher than Walmart?

Well, you can't have everything. I doubt I shall change to
Winn Dixie--except for gee-I-forgot stuff on my way home from New Orleans.

The cats are enjoying the somewhat cooler weather. And are MUCH more likely to cuddle at night.

I think I have my various at-home "projects" and "duties" at the point where I can put off anything related to that stuff to another day that is not tomorrow.

I haven't had the news on, so I figure the world hasn't ended ended. Or, if it has, I am in another life.

Oops! I just looked at the clock and I'd better turn on the TV to verify that my world is essentially still going on as usual.
