Yes, I had planned on going in to work today, but my body said it wanted some more sleep.

Since I hadn't planned any alternative "activity" I was pretty much free to do whatever I wanted without even a teensy twinge of "I should really be . . . ."

The cats and I had a couple of extra petting sessions, and as I am typing this my big boy cat is involved in a very thorough bath--right next to the keyboard.

The dogs next door are having their evening barkathon. The only time I hear them is when I am in this particular room. I'm not sure what they're barking at--raccoons coming to grub food from me are a possibility.

Weather is pleasant, albeit cool enough for the furnace to be cycling on.

And it has felt very Saturdayish, which means that my mind will think tomorrow is Sunday. Eventually it will settle on the real day of the week.

Time now to see what the drivel of the evening will be on the idiot box.

P.S.--the Word for today (according to my calendar) is kakistocracy.

Look it up if it's new to you--it describes a form of government.
