According to my daily calendar, it's a bank holiday in Scotland and New Zealand.

I don't know why, but it's probably connected to the new year.

And around here it was yet another mind-bogglingly active day. NOT!!!

I had a couple of minor errands to run, and I managed to work them in around resting the eyelids (in the closed position.)

I guess tomorrow I need to accomplish something, such as making a dr. appt. (routine stuff).

The city has an NFL game some time in the coming week.

And then there is a collegiate Bowl Game. And I think some other collegiate level game.

The city is spilling over with tourists--all happily spending money.

The weather is cooperating--pleasantly warm enough, and (so far) dry.

Tonight the temp is supposed to drop significantly, but even when we locals are a bit on the chilly side, the Yankees are finding it warm in comparison to their native habitats.

My girl cat has maneuvered a lovely soft pullover from its "tossed" position on the papasan to an even more satisfactory position on the down sleeping bag--which is also on the papasan.

I hope the weather does not lead me to wanting to actually wear the pullover--the cat would lose part of her carefully constructed winter bed.

I think there may be something on TV tonight that I sort of want to watch. If I'm wrong I'll read.
