It asked me for a login password, and I guessed right first try! I also clicked on the "remember" box, so we'll see what happens next time.

Another blah day.

I got some little "stuff" done around the house, both inside and out.

The runner rug I kept on the top step of the side mini-porch was soaked from the assorted drips from the little gaps where the awning meets the eave, so I draped it over the porch railing to drip dry.

It's dry now, and I'm torn between putting it back dirty and getting another rug.

I'll probably go with Plan C, which is to give the old rug a really deliberate hosing down and see how it looks then. I can drape it over a pair of sawhorses under the garage awning and let it drip dry.

Or I can blow a few dollars on a somewhat shorter replacement.

Guess which it will be. I could swing by WalMart on the way home from church tomorrow . . .

Weather is getting really lovely. I expect that I'll be shutting off the furnace pilot within about two weeks at the most. When the furnace fan cycles on because the pilot light has heated the air to whatever temp triggers the fan I'll know it's past time.

Turning off the fan will be a signal for a cold front to move through, of course.

But once I shut the thing off it will stay off till fall. That's why blankets were invented--not to mention cuddly cats.

I just realized that I'm going to have some unhappy raccoons and possums this evening--I completely forgot to get more raccoon/possum biscuits when I was at WalMart this morning.

Coming up--a quick trip to Walgreen's.

Have a good evening and a happy day tomorrow.
