Just another day, even though about 25% of 2012 has gone by.

I did Stuff around the house, read the Sunday paper, and ended up visiting the big blue W for some critical items like dry cat/raccoon food.

I think the assorted critters are probably set for another week or so of happy munching.

The cats and the raccoons get along just fine. They respect each others' food. The cats don't try to grab the raccoon (dog) biscuits and the raccoons politely let the cats have first crack at the wet cat food--although that's not a really big deal because most of the time the cat food is served indoors.

I'm pretty sure the raccoons have mastered the cat door between the living roon and the porch, but I have yet to actually catch them inside. I have no doubt that earmarking food for them OUTSIDE has established territory.

For me--nothing much.

The toe that I either sprained or broke is feeling much better, so I'm assuming that it was merely sprained. It's not been a week yet, and if I had broken it I would think there would still be discomfort.

After the incident I taped it to the adjacent toe, then wrapped everything up to reduce the wiggling and give support to the bad toe. I'll leave it with the support for several more days.

(A bunch of years of teaching first aid comes in handy every now and then.)

Tomorrow the plumber is supposed to come and fix the drainage outlet from the commode in the garage. He concluded that the one(s) in the house are fine, but the garage one needs some work.

That makes sense--it's at floor level. The ones in the house are also at floor level, but the floor is a good three feet above ground level, giving better natural drainage.

Never a dull moment around here. I do wish the not-dull didn't usually come with a price tag.
