And, according to a somewhat bawdy song--

"outdoor scr..ing begins today!"

What ever.

And, of course, I have changed colors.

It was a blah day, but I did get some stuff done inside. And I managed a quick stop at WalMart for the usual essentials--such as cat food.

We must be in more of a high pressure system than the last few days--my hips are feeling somewhat better. Hope it stays, although that will no doubt be accompanied by higher temperatures and little or no rain to cool things down a bit.

No sign (yet) of no-longer-pregnant mama raccoons coming by to grab a quick bite. They probably do this after dark, for safety's sake.

I just discovered that today is/was the last day of classes at Tulane/Newcomb. It seems like the semester just started.

The next week (or so) will be taken up by exams, and then the campus clears out for a bit of a rest, interrupted only by graduation and then the summer session. Tempus fugit. And before I know it the incoming freshmen will be swarming around uncertainly.

But I need to get going on the preservation talk--it's just two weeks away!
