My Incredibly Unremarkable Life

Does that give you a clue about today's earth-shaking activities?

Well--was there or wasn't there an earthquake in my vicinity?

And we're a bit more than a third of the way through August.

My word-a-day calendar still says it's Friday, while my telephone and computer insist it's Saturday.

Somehow I feel that I have been cheated out of a day.

Friday's "word" was harbinger.

Today's is assiduous. And it is "marked by careful unremitting attention or persistent application."

Guess I haven't been paying enough attention to the world around me.

Perhaps I should be more assiduous when it comes to remembering what day it is.
