I'm tired of summer. It's too hot and (at the moment) too dry.

Ever since I was a kid I've maintained that winter is preferable to summer.

Why? Well, it's a lot easier to add layers of clothing to keep warm in the winter than to remove clothing when it gets too hot in the summer.

Society tends to frown on too little clothing.

This morning I was watching the news about the (Louisiana or Arkansas) cops murdered the other day. I'm putting Blood Bank at the top of my list for tomorrow. I'll call first, however, and see whether they want whole blood or platelets. Either way, it's iron-rich foods for the next couple of days, to be sure I'll be able to give.

This afternoon I made a quick trip to WalMart and came home with food for the local living creatures (including the female human) who live around here.

I really lucked out and found a pair of inexpensive shorts in my size that were marked way down. They'll be great for around the house and yard.

I hope it's slightly cooler tomorrow--there are a lot of little stuffs around the yard (and house) that need doing.
