And it was "placid" as usual. (I'm trying to find different adjectives for IUDs.)

But--so much for placid -- the cat just (almost) knocked over the monitor.

She likes to sit close to me, but there are limits to that.

I like having her close by, but not on top of any parts of the computer, especially the keyboard.

A small handful of what we call KittyBitties (usually) takes care of the problem.

(She has now moved to the magic cool air place--where she catches the airstream from the AC.)

My new freezer now sits in the garage, but it's not alone. The guy didn't take the old one, but left it in the middle of a sort-of path to the (garage) bathroom.

I called Sears, but so far no response.

Nothing was said about removal of the old one--whether there was a charge or not.

I'll call them again tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I'm giving thought to what I might do about it if they won't take it away--even at an exhorbitant price.

It could make a nice set of shelves--assuming I could find the floor space.

However, it's in the garage, and I don't have to give the issue a very high priority at all.

I haven't seen a TV weather report/forecast (yet) today, but it doesn't feel like imminent rain. Hope it stays that way.

And--I hope tomorrow is a less frustrating day.
