In the first track Jimi begins "Who Knows", playing under the MC's intro, then turns up the gain and Buddy Miles hits the snare - thwack, thwack, thwack! That is what a properly tuned snare drum should sound like, ladies and gennumun, not that ping ping shit like an aluminum baseball bat. Get that weak amateur sound out of my ears. The real sound is what gets your attention; that sharp poke which, in Weezer's words, reminds you:
"I don't wanna be a old man anymore It's been a year or two since I was out on the floor Shakin' booty, makin' sweet love all the night It's time I got back to the Good Life It's time I got back, it's time I got back 'n I don't even know how I got off the track I wanna go back, yeah!"
