I just sent this e-mail to Heather, and since it seems like a good snapshot of my mood and outlook today, thought I'd post it here, too:

I'm in a bizarrely good mood this morning, and I find myself strangley enthusiastic about even the most dull of tasks -- even filing seems interesting to me today. It's an inexplicable and welcome geyser of good brain chemistry. And I'm *seriously* looking forward to going home tonight and having a beer and a roast beef & brie sandwich. I'm looking forward to reading to you this weekend. Everything seems wonderful and full of light, possibility, marvels. Flavors are more flavorful. We have Hidden City coming up, and Wiscon, and a trip to the beach this summer (a real beach! not these rocky west coast beaches with their cold cold water!). I'm writing, and it's going well. I'm madly in love with you, and the more I think about marrying you and someday having kids with you, the happier I get. I love our cats. I love plum blossoms and the blue skies that are finally here and I love all the books we have in our house. I think winter was beginning to weigh on me, all the rain, not being able to take lunch breaks outside on the deck because it was too cold. I think I've been ready for spring and warmth again, and now that we're moving into a period of growth and light, I feel refreshed.

How's your day?

Love,

Tim
