Just back from the workshop. Been home for an hour or so. Details to follow, though not tremendously detailed details, since I didn't take as copious notes on the experience as I often do in such siutations. (Instead, I concentrated on experiencing the experiences!)

Got some good mail, though. As follows:

Sold a poem to Strange Horizons (whoo!). It's called "Making Monsters."

I got a little check from Strange Horizons as a reward for my third-place showing in their Reader's Choice Awards ("Living with the Harpy" came in third in fiction). Beer money, whoo!

Got a royalty check for Little Gods from Prime Books. Sushi money, whoo! Actually, it's double sushi money!

And, da dum, got an e-mail from an editor at a major SF publishing house saying he's interested in Rangergirl. I sent the book to him a long time ago, many months before I even acquired an agent, but he'd been busy, and hadn't had a chance to read it until recently. So I have to talk to my agent, and then we'll talk to the editor, and maybe something good will happen. It seems promising, at least, and it's nice e-mail to come home to!
