A couple of noteworthy notes:

You can read an excerpt from Jade Tiger, the forthcoming first novel from our own Jenn Reese, at the new Juno Books website. (And if you haven't yet, now's a good time to pre-order her chapbook, Tales of the Chinese Zodiac.)

On Wednesday night at Valencia Street Books in San Francisco, Heather and I will be taking part in a rapid-fire reading, a fundraiser for Strange Horizons and the Speculative Literature Foundation. Each reader only gets 3 minutes, but I can probably manage to do a poem or two in that time. I think Pat Murphy, Lori Ann White, Charlie Anders, and various other authors are going to be there. I don't actually know what time it is (I'm guessing, um, in the evening?), but I'll update this with more details when I find out. Tomorrow I hope.

Update: Okay, it's at 7 PM, at 569 Valencia Street. It's a fundraiser, so they'll be asking for money/donations at the door -- I don't think there'll be a required charge of more than $5, though.
