I cannot tell you how many times I have been tempted to write exactly this story.

My friend Scott sent me a link to this epic song and video in praise of George Washington (he's twelve stories high and made of radiation). It's incredibly funny. There's lotsa cursing and animated genitals, if that's a problem for you.

This has been a good week. I mean, it's hardly a week at all, since the weekend didn't end until Tuesday. Heather and I hit the gym on Wednesday night and did a good workout. We watched the last two episodes of season one of Veronica Mars, and I thought the ending was great -- surprising but utterly believable. I have some quibbles with individual episodes, but overall the experience of watching the show has been great. I can't wait for season 2 to hit DVD.

Last night we ordered delicious Thai food. Mmm, Thai iced tea. I started reading Chris Roberson's Paragaea, which is great fun, an old-school planetary romance with some interesting twists.

Tonight we're going to do some housecleaning in preparation for tomorrow's meeting of writing group, at our place. Margaritas and chips and salsa and fiction, y'all. It doesn't get much better than that. I hope the weather's nice so we can meet on the back patio.
