My agent. She usually only calls with good news.

2. When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?
Almost always.

If I know the other people well, I talk. If I don't know them well, I listen.

Oh yes.

5. Are you an active person?
Moderately. (I walk a lot, but more because I hate driving than because I like exercise.)

6. If abandoned alone in the wilderness, would you survive?
Not for long.

7. Do you like to ride horses?
Nope.

8. Did you ever go to camp as a kid?
No.

9. What was your favorite game as a kid?
Hard to say. Chess, monopoly, scrabble, blackjack...

10. If a sexy person was pursuing you, but you knew he/she was married, would you get involved with him/her?
Not at this point in my life. (I think the question implies it's not an open marriage, and I don't want the drama of cheating; bleah.)

11. Are you judgmental?
Moderately.

12. Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you?
Yes, and have.

13. Do you like to pursue or be pursued?
A little of one, a little of the other. I'm switch!

Not beyond a few phrases.

Deaf.

Broadly, sandwiches. Specifically, it changes. Right now I could go for a hot pastrami. Mmm.

Yes, but I can't hit what I aim for.

My cats, if I could find them.

I have a book with me everywhere, and read pretty much any time I’m not doing anything else.

Future.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Blue.

24. Where is your dream house located?
Santa Cruz. Or Hawaii.

My boss, I think.

Don't think so.

Um, maybe six or seven years ago?

28. What are your keys on your key chain for?
House, car, and a bunch of keys that go to old houses and filing cabinets and offices and etc. I haven't cleaned it off in ages.

29. What's your favorite color?
The color of late afternoon light in the summer. Whatever that color is.

30. Where was the furthest place you traveled today?
Four whole miles up to work.

31. Where is your current pain at?
Feeling no pain.

32. Do you like mustard?
Yep, of various sorts.

33. Do you prefer to sleep or eat?
Eat. Sleep is boring.

34. Do you look like your mom or dad?
Both, actually.

35. How long does it take you in the shower?
Ten minutes usually. On weekends sometimes longer, if I'm thinking about writing. I do some of my best plotting in the shower.

No.

37. What movie do you want to see right now?
All About Eve, which is waiting patiently on the Tivo, but I want to watch it with Heather.

38. Do you put lotion on your dog or cats?
Neither.

39. What did you do for New Year's?
I honestly don't remember! Probably nothing too interesting this past year, just hanging out at home and drinking champagne with Heather.

40. Do you think The Grudge was scary?
Didn't see it. I doubt I would have found it scary.

41. What was the cause of your last accident?
I hit my head on a hanging flower pot. The cause was my not noticing the location of the flower pot.

42. Do you own a camera phone?
No.

Red wine.

44. Was your mom a cheerleader?
I don't think so.

46. Who did you vote for on American Idol?
No one. I don't really like pop music.

47. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
6 to 8.

Not particularly.

Just my ticket!

Yes.

Yes.

Nothing, unless it's cold.

Not that I can think of.

Just one, except on weekends, when I eat two.

No.

I'm not even sure what that means.

Yes.

58. Do you like funny or serious people better?
I think that's a false dichotomy and I refuse to answer.

Been to Glendale, and Anaheim... close enough?

No.

61. Do you use cuss words in other languages?
Sometimes. Particularly when there are small children around.

62. Do you steal or pay for your music downloads?
Mostly the third alternative -- free legal downloads.

63. Do you hate chocolate?
No.

64. What do you and your parents fight about the most?
We don't fight anymore. We used to fight about... I don't even remember. The fact that I was a teenager and they were my parents, which was a seemingly insurmountable divide for a while there.

65. Is your cell usually on vibrate or ring?
I don't own a cell phone.

66. Are you a gullible person?
I don't think so.

67. Do you need a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy?
No, but without them, I tend to be kind of bored.

68. If you could have any job (assuming you have the skills) what would it be?
Full-time fiction writer.

69. Are you easy to get along with?
Depends on who's trying to get along with me.

70. What is your favorite time of day?
Late afternoon, because of the light, and because by then I'm usually looking forward to a relaxing evening.
