Another week, another Wednesday off. This new schedule rocks my socks off.

I picked up a freelancing gig. Pays pretty well, too. I'm writing short reviews of porn videos. (Yes, my wife found this gig for me. My wife is wonderful.) My sixteen-year-old self would be very proud of me, I think. Getting paid to watch smut (well, technically I'm paid to write about it, but still). Life isn't so bad!

Layout on Flytrap 6 is done, and we'll be taking it to the printer tomorrow. We're hoping to have copies for sale at World Fantasy, if we can find a willing catspaw to sell them for us there! I'll post the table of contents, ordering info, etc. later this month. We'll be open for submissions from November 15 to December 31, 2006 (for fiction only -- poetry is spoken for). Heather's editing fiction this time, and we'll put guidelines up soon.

There's no earth-shaking news to report. I'm still working away at the Dream novel. I just read Monster Nation by David Wellington, and it's a marvelous, smart zombie novel. I also read Grey by Jon Armstrong, which is a stylish, weird, funny, and inventive debut. I'll be reviewing both of those at some point.
