Heather's story "Mountain, Man" (which we always say aloud as "Mountain Comma Man") is online at Escape Pod for your listening pleasure. It appeared in print in the most recent Ratbastard's chapbook. Heather rocks! (Don't forget to come see us read at Borderlands this Sunday at 3 p.m., either!)

I always feel awkward about this, but, hell -- lots of other people have been pointing out the stories they had published this year that may be eligible for various awards and things, so I'll chime in. If any awards judges, people who nominate for the Nebulas or the Hugos, etc. want to read any of these, drop me a note, and I'll send you a copy.

"The Crawlspace of the World" in Polyphony 6, November 2006. [Weird story about love and betrayal in the junkyard of the universe. With a dragon!]

"The Third-Quarter King" in Eidolon, Fall 2006. [The king of Autumn wages indirect war on his current seasonal arch-enemy... from the comfort of his apartment]

"Dream Engine" in Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show, Fall 2006. [Starring Howlaa Moor, reluctant guardian of Nexington-on-Axis, the city at the center of the multiverse, and his partner/jailer Wisp. They fight crime!]

"Cup and Table" in Twenty Epics, July 2006. [A team of dysfunctional weirdos with strange powers try to find an ancient artifact and end up destroying the world on page 1.]

"Impossible Dreams" in Asimov's, July 2006 [My alternate-universe video-store story; like a little magic shop tale for movie buffs]

"Jubilee" in The Journal of Mythic Arts, Winter 2006. [Fish and grief and violence in Alabama]

There. Hope that helps.
