'tis the season, y'all. The Twisted Sister cover of "Silver Bells" is playing right now. Ho ho ho indeed. Soma FM's Xmas in Frisko stream is pretty awesome. They just played "Green Chri$tma$", and where the hell else are you gonna hear that?!

Last night Heather and I went to a Merry Kitschmas party at the home of one of her co-workers. It was pretty fun. We didn't have Xmas sweaters to wear, so Heather and I donned antlers instead. And drank insanely rich egg nog. And took part in the big crazy dirty Santa gift exchange. My name was the very last one called, so I could steal any gift I wanted from anyone else with no chance of losing it; I chose the much-desired remote control rat. It's awesome. I wanted the bb pistol with laser sight -- it's a gun and a cat toy! -- but Heather hates guns, so I settled for the rat. I am content.

Now it's my day off and, you know, I'm working. Doing freelance stuff. Cleaning the house a little. Etc. I took a walk, and it's still ludicrously beautiful outside, an incredible Indian summer. Life is good.
