Hey, a twofer! As I mentioned previously, "Grander than the Sea" is going to be in Hartwell & Cramer's next Year's Best Fantasy, and I just got word that they're taking "Artifice and Intelligence" for their next Year's Best SF! Whoo! That's three best-of appearances for the year so far. Not too shabby!

Jim Hines did another LOL Cover for one of my books, this time Blood Engines. It's pretty funny!

Last night we went to Baby Brigade at the Parkway, and it was awesome! River slept through the whole movie, none of the other babies in the audience screamed much either, and I got pizza and wings and beer! (Nearly two beers, since Heather didn't want most of hers.) Then River came home, drank milk, and slept for another six hours straight. Life is good!

(We saw Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, which was moderately amusing, but really, the particular movie was almost irrelevant. We got to go out!)
