So apart from missing some work due to the second-highest fever I've run in my adult life, how're things? (Actually, the fever is much lower today, barely over a hundred! So I think I'm getting better.)

Greg sold his novel! To my editor, no less. Hurray!

My story "The Frozen One" is online at Lone Star Stories. It probably works better performed aloud as a monologue than read on the page, but I'm very fond of it, and glad it's available for people to read.

Earlier this week I wrote and turned in my outline for the fourth Marla novel. (As for the novel itself, I'm in the Dreaded Middle, and the book is giving me trouble, but actually writing the outline helped a little, I think.) I even got it in two whole days early. That was before I was laid low.

There are a couple of reviews of Blood Engines: author Melissa Marr loved it, and reader Lesley W had mixed feelings, but will read the second volume.

Now I sleep more.
