See, this happens every time I post something about one of my sports teams

-- things go bad. So my beloved Sooners lost to Syracuse. It really upset me the most because I have been a big fan of Hollis Price ever since his freshman year and I really wanted him to go out on a better note.

But my disappointment did not last long because it's baseball season again!!!!! Baseball is my ultimate favorite sport, and even though I am not a big Yankee or Met fan, it is so great to be in a city that really loves baseball. I mean, I like football, but in Oklahoma when I was home at break, there were people calling in to the paper to complain that they were giving too much attention to the basketball tourney and not enough to spring football. Spring football isn't even really a sport! It's PRACTICE!

So this weekend I spent pretty much by myself, which didn't really bother me. I got quite a bit of work done on the story I'm turning in to workshop this week, plus I came up with a really good idea for a new story which I'm going to start on soon. And last night, when I was kind of bored and my overhead light suddenly burned out so I only had my lamp working, I put on some makeup and a cute top and danced around to my old Deep Forest CD. It was actually pretty fun. In some ways it was more fun than going to a club where you have to worry about sleazy guys hitting on you or if you look funny dancing. Plus, I didn't have to wear shoes.
