Anyone who is in the New York City area might want to check this out. I was watching PBS late on Saturday night and came across this beautiful little documentary on this small teaching opera company and the amazing couple who founded it. They offer opera at a pretty low price and in a very intimate setting. It has definitely jumped to the top of my ever-growing list of things I want to do here.

Got my haircut today. I got it layered in the back, which I've never done before. I'm starting to wonder why. I have such thick hair so even with a minimum of styling it looks very full and I can get that nice tousled look really quickly. I knew it was time to get my haircut because every time I looked in the mirror all weekend I went, "Gaaah, I have a lot of of hair!" It just occurred to me when I last looked in the mirror that my hair now looks very much like my friend Laura's which might be interesting if we wind up living together. Anyway, I'm glad I got it done.
