Never balance your checkbook on a rainy cold day at the beginning of summer vacation

-- it's far too depressing.

I don't think I've been completely awake all day, and I drove to work and back, so that's a little scary. Stupid rain. I can't wait for those good scorching summer temps. Didn't realize how much I missed the Oklahoma heat until nine months of 60s and rain. Freaky thought -- it was the exact same weather here on Sept. 1, Dec. 20, and May 16th. At the very least you'd think we could have a good electric thunderstorm instead of this wimpy drizzle.

Last night Nina brought me a Frosty. Yeah Nina! I am really going to miss her when she moves out, but she will undoubtedly be happier in Brooklyn where it will not be such a pain to do all the stuff she likes to do in the city. Honestly, I don't think it makes much difference where I live -- I'm a natural recluse. So the defining factor for me is how early I'm going to have to get up to get to work/school, and for right now staying in Mount Vernon means more sleep for me.
