All four regular readers of this blog might have noticed that, other than my Cardinal-themed redecorating, I've been pretty silent on the baseball front lately. In fact, I think the last time I mentioned them, they were still struggling to break free of the .500 mark.

Well ...

How about sitting on 70 wins?

How about holding the best record in the entire major leagues (yes, even better than the Yankees)?

How about two legitimate MVP contenders (Scott Rolen and Albert Pujols)?

But don't tell anyone ... I wouldn't want to jinx it.
