Doing NaNoWriMo again, which I need to do because I've been neglecting the novel for far too long, but it does tend to make my life feel very hectic. Especially since the Doppelganger (the executive editor at Pindeldyboz, who shares my first name> gave us web editing staff the email version of a "move it or lose it" speech. So I am also trying to get through a good chunk of stories (and writing their corresponding rejection/acceptance emails) as well.

Still, I'm in a weirdly good mood, in large part because I'm happier when I'm busy. I am, after all, the girl who spent 14 hours a week at the dance studio her senior year in high school, and took no less than 18 hours every college semester. Graduate school felt like a two year vacation after that, and I still can hardly believe that, if I wanted to, I could work my 10-6 job and do absolutely nothing else and get away with it. I'm also happier when I'm writing, even if I moan and groan about actually sitting down to do it.

I wrote just over 1500 words yesterday, so I'm already off pace (to hit 50,000 words by Nov. 30, you need to write around 1660 words a day) but it is supposed to be chilly this weekend, so that should be a good inducement to stay in and work. Also I need to clean the apartment, so I figure at least one of those things will get done while I'm procrastinating on the other. Anyway, that is what I will be doing this month, so if I'm a little scarce around here, you'll understand, right?
