Crazy Day Ramblings

I was going to write this long involved thing about how I basically spent until 2:30 doing way more leg work than this job normally requires (including a stint as emergency videographer), but I think I will just say this: the longer I am in this job, the more I fantasize about pulling an Office Space style hit job on our copier one day. Only I think it would be much more fun to push it out of our fifth floor window and watch it smash all over Broadway.

We had some very picturesque snow on Sunday (even more so because I didn't have to go out in it), but the corresponding drop in outside temperatures and bump in my apartment's heating has set my super dry skin off again. So I'd just like to recommend Johnson's Hand Cream for anyone who has a similar problem -- it is the only lotion I've ever used that works for longer than an hour (including through hand washing, it's not greasy, and it doesn't even cost that much.

I had to get three fillings at the dentist yesterday, complete with Novocaine injections, and that was not even close to the worst part of my evening -- since I managed to get stuck on the subway for almost two hours on the way home (it took 45 minutes to get across the bridge). Subway delays are even less fun when your mouth is half numb and completely dry.

Yan and I are going to see Alvin Ailey at City Center tonight, which should be awesome, but is also very sad, because it is the last chance we have to do anything together before she heads to Kansas until April. Still, she has promised to bring me all the yarn she found while she was cleaning out her closet (she went through a brief knitting phase a couple of winters ago). But that, again, is why I am going to miss her, so, so much.
