Reading: The Complete Handbook of Novel Writing
TV/Movie: Sunday night stuff/Futurama DVD collection - Season 1
Link o' the Day: It's Walky

It's Sunday night--TV night. From the Simson's tonight: Hmm, I could save money by buying separate nuts and mixing them at home. (Now _that's_ genius!)

What have _you_ written for?

I've come across some folks who have shared some of the odd thigns they've taken in lieu of money for their work. Shoes. Mood rings. Denim jacket. Plane ride. River ride. Many years ago I traded typesetting for beer and buffalo wings. What's the weirdest thing you've ever gotten in place of money?

I had a very nice weekend with Pretty Maggie. Time seems to go by slower when she's up here, which is nice. I get a chance to really relax. (Maybe I relaxed too much. I took a nap after she left for home and woke up again at 8pm which is going to throw my sleep off.) It'll be even nicer when she moves up here.

While she was visiting we did a little shopping and planning for her imminent move. Somehow we always end up in the DVD/CD section and it's hard to pull me away. I ended up getting the recently-released Season 1 Futurama collection. It was between that or a bunch of Miyazaki films. I have most of the Miyazaki on tape from my fansub days, but will eventually go DVD for the quality and special features. I understand there is a DVD collection of the first two seasons of Family Guy. Now let's see if I can find it.

Not getting any writing done tonight--well, that's a little lie. Late last night I got an idea and jotted it down on a piece of paper and have since transferred that note to my files. I've got a lot of writing to do tonight. The voice acting book should be done early this week, and there will be a couple of weeks before I see more work on the Hollywood book, so I should have plenty of nights for just writing ahead.

Fans of the webcomic Faans! should take some time to go through the It's Walky archives. The "Roomies" section of the archive (pre-Walky) are usual college bits of cartooning, but the Walky stuff has a bit more fun SFnal themes. I've not gotten through them all yet, but it looks promising.

And we're signing off. Despite my nap, I'm still ready to knock off and zzz. No deep thoughts tonight. Perhaps my sleep schedule won't be so thrown off.

G'nite y'all!
