More purging. Today I filled seven full-sized garbage bags with the acumulated junk of years. It's a lot like archaeology. My files and parts of the living room were dug down to around 1995. I expect the spare room will hit 1990 with some 1985 mixed in (my old record albums). The closets will be mostly late 80s. the desk in the bedroom is pretty much a Millennium project, so most of the stuff there will be saved.

More old files, a bunch of old photos. I found a photo album with old family photos, some pictures from my days as a drummer for Gothic Snowtire, and my student days in the UK. I came across a couple of stories I wrote back in high school. One resulted in a shudder which resulted in the story in question being buried as deep as I could reach into the garbage bag. Another one isn't too bad. It was written during my brief Lovecraft period in the 11th grade. I _might_ consider revamping it. Not right away, though.

A lot more work to do this week

Been a busy weekend, but I didn't quite get everything done that I had listed, so I'm going to be having a nice busy week a'coming. I did goof off on occasion this weekend and relax. I picked up the SciFi Channel's version of Dune and watched the first disk. Wow. _So_ much better than the Lynch version--and I'm one of the folks who kept saying, "eh, it wasn't _that_ bad."

Everything Prairie Home Companion at today's link. I listen to this show during its rebroadcast every Sunday on my local NPR. I saw the show live once many years ago--fantastic seats--sixth row center. Sure, the tickets cost me $100 each, but I could see right up Garrison's nose and got a full ear-blast when some bagpiper did "Born in the USA". That these people can put on show after show, week after week, year after year is amazing. And Garrison Keillor is no slump as a writer either. Anyway, at this site, you can listen to special recordings from past shows and get information on upcoming shows.

A radio must.

Got some more writing done, although most of this night ended up doing some rush last-minute changes to the Daws Butler book. Still, I got some more editing done. Going to go to bed with a clear conscience.

Hope y'all are too!

Cheers!
