I can see bare floor!

Well, okay, this isn't such a _rare_ thing, but there's been this one corner of the living room near the bookcase that's just always been this random pile of boxes and old computers. The shape and contents change, but the pile is always there. No it isn't--at least until Pretty Maggie dumps some of _her_ boxes there instead.

And I have a _long_ way to go before this place is fully purged. Yeesh. How does one man acquire so much junque? But on the plus side, it's a rather cleansing sort of experience. I tossed out a whole box of videos I didn't even recall I had--and certainly hadn't missed. My closest guess is that they've been sitting there for about three years.

And I should point out that not all of this stuff is mine alone. Some are the leftovers of past roommates living and dead. Some stuff is my brother's (Tim, if you're reading this, call me. I have matches and lighter fluid and am not afraid to use them.)

Writing-wise I finished editing my long-overdue piece and turned it in. I caught up on some correspondence in between bouts of purging. And now The West Wing is on, so my attentions are divided.

But I still have today's link, and it's an interesting one. Apparently one can travel through time with a weblog. And to prove it, just check out The Diary of Samuel Pepys (now with added blog). the only thing it's lacking is a place for responding. (Credit where credit is due, this link was brought to my attention via one of the fannish e-lists.)

And on that note, I have more mail to finish, West Wing to finish, and a bed to find.

G'nite!
