Link o' the Day: Where's Waldo Online (text-only game)

A pretty long day yestderday, but a pretty creative night. The trials and tribulations of the day job continue and will likely be continuing for the next couple of weeks at least. But despite that, I've managed to keep ahold of that my creative muse (I keep her locked in a chest).

Did I say muse? I meant mouse; she eats cheese. Anyway... I'm posting this in the morning before leaving for work rather than my usual night before as I've left myself so little time for journal writing.

Writing goes on as it should. I'm doing some slow revising and finding one problem with my method. I like to print out hardcopy and mark up line edits before doing them on the computer. Looking at words in print gives me a different perspective than editing on the computer screen and I catch many things I'd have otherwise missed. The problem comes from my nearly-unintelligible handwriting--I can't read or understand many of my own edits. I can suss out most by looking at the context--but yeesh. This is a 15,000-word story. Imagine if it was a 150,000-word novel.

I didn't spend the entire night revising. I worked on a piece of flash-fiction for a place seeking webcontent and did some research and correspondence.

The episodes of The Critic I ordered are on their way! It'll be interesting seeing them as they'll be a few years old now and most of the movie references are going to be very dated.

I got word that I have a bunch of edits for the Hollywood book and the Voice Acting book coming my way. With that, some writing, and the continuing Great Apartment Purge, it's going to be a busy week.

Today's link is something new I came across only just this morning. It's a Where's Waldo game for text-only internet browsers. It was only a few years ago when my _only_ connection to the internet was via a VT100 terminal, so I have a soft spot for text-only environments.

Enjoy!
