Another morning post. I hope this doesn't get to be a habit.

Last night was West Wing night, so you know I didn't get a lot of writing done. The season finale was excellent and had some interesting twists and surprises. John Goodman's presence was not at all expected. I have a hard time picturing him as a badass Republican. The first time I saw Goodman, he was "Louis the Bear" in the Talking Heads movie "True Stories." Then again, he also played that weird guy in "The Big Lewboski."

I suppose that's what one calls an actor's "range."

Being West Wing night didn't mean I didn't do any work at all. I took care of a pile of changes for the voice acting book--then goofed by uploading the wrong file to the editor. Argh. I should have noticed by the unusually long upload time. I did a little editing of my own, and some further research and some prelim work on getting Sleight of Hand #2 into production.

Today's link goes to the sort of webpage I wish more magazine publishers would try. It's the Realms of Fantasy Slush List page. The prereaders list author and titles by initials and postmark dates only, and give the current status of of the submission within the slushpile. I have three markets I've not heard from in a long, long time. A page like this from those publishers would make me a little less itching to pull the submissions early to try for other markets.

I've got a list as long as my arm of things to do over the next week and a half. Wheeeee!

Cheers!
