Reading: 2001 issue of Asimov's
Music: Dead Kennedys
TV/Movie: A Mighty Wind
Link o' the Day: Lancer's Reactor

The cold continues... (cough, cough) but not as bad as before, so we're on the mend.

Picture of the Week:
Jello Biafra, former frontman for the Dead Kennedys smooching it up with Tammy Faye Baker, former PTL maven. What a world, huh?

Okay, so the picture is over two years old, but I only came across it recently while doing some research for a story idea.

Speaking of stories... got some being worked on, but I've got to stop reading other people's short stories for a while. I decided to read Charlie Stross's Troubadour from the Oct/Nov 2001 issue of Asimovs and almost quit writing altogether (yeah... like one could actually quit!)--but yeesh. Fortunately, such periods of writerly depression pass swiftly, and my personal delusions of grandeur rise once more and I feel less bad. I get back to work and keep plugging away. 2002 was a good year for sales. 2003 was less good. 2004 should be better than 2002. And 2005? Gonna own it.

And in between work and work and other work, I keep the universe safe from space pirates.

Today's link is for players of the Freelancer computer game--Lancer's Reactor the one-stop site for anything Freelancer-related. I can hardly wait to finish the general game so I can start playing around with some of the game mods made by third parties. It's the most fun I've had since Space Rogue back in the 80s (unsurprising considering it's the same people and concept).

Cheers!
